I Know A Published Writer
No matter how self-deprecating a writer gets, they always – always – want to hear those words uttered by casual friends.
Not close friends and family, mind you. Those don’t count. We throw those compliments aside because they are given out of love. They are not earned out of shock and awe. As writers, we demand that stories reach a climax and then crash down around the reader. Or us.
That’s why I was so happy for Laura tonight when I saw this tweet from one of her friends:
The best part: this has nothing to do with The Invictus Writers. That means Laura has beaten everyone to the punch. She’s an over-achiever. And we couldn’t be happier for her.
As for that that means, you’ll just have to wait for her to tell you.
